I have attempted to create a game about 4 times tonight and cannot make the questions and answers transfer to the index file. I have created the questions using the xml format, I have used the question generator (my info would not save) and have downloaded the program and followed your steps repeatedly. I don't know what is wrong. There are no open quotes and I have saved the files under the existing file names. I dk what else to do.

Update: the biggest issue was that she was using Word to edit this and it was saving it in its own format instead of plain text. The questions file should be edited in a plain text editor such as Notepad or WordPad.

I edited the question.xml using notepad but I'm still having a problem with my questions showing up. Any suggestions?

Questions not loading is almost always due to an unclosed tag or a quote included within the questions or answers.

It took me forever to see what tag was left upen, but I finally found it.

I have cut and copied the xml question format into notepad, and everything is EXACTLY how it was in the original, yet when I try to open it in broswer (default when double-clicked) it keeps saying this:
End tag 'questions' does not match the start tag 'question'. Error processing resource 'file:///C:/Users/user/Documents/ff_…

I can't figure out why because they are exactly the same as the orginal format, this is what my copy looks like:

Please Help this is for a company picnic!

The error indicates a syntax error. For others on this forum to try to help you, you'll have to paste your code into something like http://pastebin.com/ and then paste the link, as this forum strips out most code.

We've downloaded the question generator. everything look exactly like the demo on your page but we can't figure out how to get the questions and answers to transpose onto the actual index file. Each time we open the index file, the same questions from your demo are there.

The game will try to read whatever questions.xml file is in its folder.
