I'm not sure, but perhaps Internet Explorer is blocking local JavaScript from running, and you need to allow it. Sometimes a bar will dropdown in IE to tell you that it is blocking scripts from running on a particular page. On that bar there would be an option to allow the script to run.
You could also run ff.exe or open ff.swf.

i am having the same problem. so when i try to open the ff.exe file, the questions do not appear on the bottom of the screen, only the points boxes and the logo show up…
How do i get the questions and everything else to show up with this forkmat of the document?

Out of the box, you shouldn't have to do anything with the .exe file. Have you made any modifications to the questions file? If so, perhaps it is not quite in the proper syntax.

I'm having the same problem as Kyla. I altered the questions, but didn't change any syntax just the content in the quotes. There are no numbers on the bottom of the screen to choose the questions as there are in the demo.

The syntax rules are quite strict. For example, you cannot have a quote within the quotes, and I think that there are some limitations on question and/or answer length.

I had the same problem then realized I had been saving the questions file as .txt instead of .xml
