I bought a phone used from one of my friends that switched to telus. It was a $200 phone for $50 so was pretty happy about that. I used the phone with koodo for a year. The phone wasn’t on tab so I was building a tab by the end of the year I had quite a bit of credit with them so I bought my girlfriend a phone. My tab was back down to 0 a month or so after this I decide to get a new phone with Rogers. I cancel with Koodo and everything is fine.
Untill I try to use my credit card thinking I had credit and find out Koodo automatically withdrew the final bill for the month and $200 for the phone I had bought for $50 a year ago! Meaning they sold 1 phone twice.
I called back several times and was told by one agent that the phone was bought in a city an hour away from myn. The date the phone was activated my cell number was with Fido. I could tell that the person knew it was impossible for it to be me who had purchased the phone but did not care and said there would be no refund. Even my Koodo self serve profile said I had no tab so was totally supprised when I was told that I had owed them the hole time? It doesn’t make sense why would they let me use the tab credit I built up to buy my girlfriends phone if I already owed them $200. I called back complaining several times and was told I should fax my ”evidence” to Koodo.
