Hi every one,

I own a USA magicjack that I’ve been using for 1 year now. I really like it, but there are some issues that occur from time to time: Dropped calls, static, it crashes… But honestly, We’ve taken lot of advantage of it, and those US$20 we paid per year + the cost of the MJ, were a BARGAIN! I still use it to make local calls in Canada. We dont have a regular phone line. Im very pleased.

HOWEVER, when I tried to but a Canadian number MJ at http://www.themagicjack.ca My credit card was charged, never got the MJ, NEVER got a refund, a call, a response to my emails or Letters… This was over 6 months ago and I dont know what to do… Im talking I was charged over CAD$100

ANYBODY HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE? What can I do? IS THERE A CANADIAN GOVERMENT MINISTRY OR COMPLAINT CENTER FOR CUSTOMERS… I WANT TO WARN OTHER PEOPLE, WHAT THEY’RE DOING IS SCAM!!! If you got suggestions or answers, please email me at

bubble_23@hotmail.com with an understandable title regarding Magicjack so I know its not junk mail… I desperately need to recover my money!!!! If i can still do that! ( Terrible SCAM!

Thanks for what You could do for this matter,

do not expect any thing from any of Canadian government set up or any other institution because government and ministers themselves admit that all their systems are screwed and is in direct control of businessmen. It is all confusion everywhere with fake goods being sold openly and no complaint is hardly ever resolved in favor of customer

If a service is paid for and promised, while no attempt to deliver said service is deemed as fraud. Contact your branch of the OPP and log a complaint. Be sure to document everything.

Additionally, negative feedback should be sent to the MJ headquarters so they can shut this person down.

You could have notified your credit card company, I know if you do not receive a service within 90 days of the charge, and prove it, mastercard will reverse the charges. I maybe corrected, but the credit card company needs to open the file within 90 days of the charge..Cool

Should I purchase magic Jack with a Mexican number? Has anyone tested area codes in Mexico, specifically Lapenita?

Hello

I have the same problem. After ordering the maggicjack plus from this website http://www.themagicjack.ca, I got charged immediately but haven't received yet. It has been over a month since I placed the order.

A couple of phone call to their 1-888 number got me into their voice mail but I couldn't leave any message.
(it put me back to the message after the tone).

I have also sent a few emails to victor@themagicjack.ca but didn't receive any reply. Perhaps this is a scam. Too bad I didn't come across this post sooner before ordering.

Lesson learned, will not order online ..too good to be true.Frown ConfusedCryConfused
I will notify my credit card company hopefully I can get the money reimbursed

I hear you – exactly correct. Had a problem with Rogers billing me long distance that yak was also charging me for, and even though I supplied all kinds of reference #'s to both of them and filed the complaint with the ombudsman, I ended up sucking up the 3 months of double billing myself. And to make it worse I didn't even get the discounted long distance I had signed up for. Rogers has the ability to override certain arrangements made with other providers is the root of it, and impossible to sort out if you have a secondary # on the same account, which was the case for me.

Yep caveat emptor. the only protection we have is blogs and online information LIKE THIS. I'VE NEVER BEEN SO GRATEFUL FOR SUCH EXCELLENT AND USEFUL CRAP.

Thanks as I've been looking at magic jack ad will avoid the .ca vendor.

HAS anyone dealt with the magic jack plus vendor?

Hi

I ordered a magic jack plus from themagicjack.ca and I'm really satisfied.
I've ordered on sunday, get a tracking number on monday and received on wedenesday.
I've also contacted the company by email twice and got answer same day.

I always purchase online, electronics, clothes, shoes, computer and I can say that themagicjack.ca is not a scam. first thing, when it's a scam you noprmally don't have a real street address, phone number, customer service and fast answer to your email.

I will buy again from themagicjack.ca
I also have two friends that ordered magic jack plus from themagicjack.ca and they received it fast and don't get screwed.

I don't have phone land line since I use the magic jack plus and I can confirm that's working great if you have a DSL 5 mbps connection.
