Hello. I was in the exact same situation and got a Telus Tablet Flex plan for my Android phone. The only catch is that you MUST CHANGE THE APN SETTING on the phone to the tablet APN otherwise you will pay the crazy un-request data rate of $$/KB. Telus also allows making phone calls on a table plan for $1/minute and SMS are charged $0.10 to Canada.

If you just need browsing, you could try Speak Out Wireless.

If you need pure data (for apps, streaming, and more), and you live near a big city, you could look at Wind Mobile.

Hi there! I would really appreciate an advice- what is a cheapest option for internet (I have an unlocked android)? I don't care about the calls or texting, I can even do completely without it, so what are my best bets? Thanks!
