Hey Mark... that is possible. I spoke with a Koodo rep who explained to me that it is totally possible to buy used Koodo phone elsewhere and activate it for yourself. The reason is that the phones have serials that are owned by Koodo. A used Telus phone has a Telus serial and therefore won't work with Koodo.
I guess the problem would be that there aren't very many used Koodo phones out there yet. Though, I did see some on Ebay the other day.

Why couldn't someone buy a used Ex-Koodo subscribed phone form e-bay or such ?

Are you able to purchase a phone somewhere else, and use it with Koodo. There is not a very large variety of phones for Koodo that I see advertised, and that would possibly be one of the reasons that I wouldn’t choose it.

I don't think that's possible. That's one reason why I stick with GSM providers. Although Rogers and Fido are the only main ones in Canada (I actually use Speak Out Wireless, it does give me the freedom to use other phones and take my phones elsewhere.
