DON'T SIGN UP FOR KOODO! That's the best advice I can give you. I have had nothing but problems since I signed up, and I AM an informed customer. I shopped around for different plans and service providers. They all seemed fairly similar, but I opted for Koodo because they don't have any of the extra fees that some of the other major providers charge.

Anyway, the moral of the story is that you get what you pay for. First, they set my plan up wrong so in my first month I had $90 in overage charges - which were supposed to be included in my plan. After waiting on hold for over 1 hour to reach a customer service person, they apologized and credited my account, but the worst part is that the agent didn't even seem surprized about the error! I offered to send them a copy of my service agreement as proof that I had signed up for a different plan, and she told me not to worry about it. I could totally have been making it up, but she believed me ... my guess is because this happens ALL THE TIME. In addition to that issue, I continue to have service issues. I probably have an average of 3 dropped calls every day. I use my phone a fair amount, and usually when I'm out running errands. It seems that no matter where I go, if I take more than 20 steps while I'm on the phone, I lose the call. I was with Rogers before and I NEVER experienced anything like this. I am still trying to get them to fix that problem.

Also, their tech support people are useless. When I signed up, I got 2 phones on my account (one for my teenaged daughter). Her phone stopped receiving calls and text messages for 3 weeks! I spent more than 6 hours over the course of that 3 weeks to get them to fix the problem. They told me they needed to send it to some other department to 'assess the problem'. Finally, her phone just starting working again one day, but noone ever called me back to see that the problem was resolved.

DON'T SIGN UP FOR KOODO! As everyone else has said, it may seem fine from the start, but as soon as you have any kind of problem, you'll spend hours trying to reach someone to fix the problem, and half the time they won't be able to do anything.

Well I came to this site hoping to find out people’s opinions and experiences on Koodo mobile. I’m currently looking for a new cell phone provider, any ideas?

Thanks!

Oh, and I would also like to hear from anyone who knows about the "tab" and how does the reception hold up?

Hi,

my piece of advice? don't bother finding out about the tab. sure you'll never like it. plus worse customer swervices experience. take it from the majorities comments.

I am sick of Koodo's BS and that of this entire industry. I'm doing some legal research, and upon finding the legal terms for the kind of fraudulent activity they're doing to me and others (claiming data usage when there is none, more air-time usage than is actually used, etc.) I'm going to start a class-action lawsuit. If you would like to get in on that, please e-mail to my "safe" address at:

thetruejinkazama@gmail.com

All I need are two other volunteers, and we have a class action lawsuit. The more people who get on board the better; I know plenty of politically and legally active people who are going to help with this as well, but they're not Koodo customers. I need Koodo customers on board in order to create a legal class action, so please e-mail me with your grievances, and we'll talk more.

Thank you.

Where do I start,
I have told our story to so many koodo agents now I hope it will be used in training. We are extremely disappointed in koodo's services. We feel trapped and tricked.

We purchased a I phone 4 in mid October , shortly after we experienced some trouble completing phone calls, no connection and the screen would freeze. We brought it back and decided to get the I phone 4s and payed the difference for the newer model. A few days later the same problem started with this phone as well. We were told that koodo could not replace this one because they do not have any in stock. The koodo manager told us to go to the apple store to replace it under warranty.

*this I regret doing because it was still within our 14day with koodo*

I was amazed that we would be this unlucky to have two phone with the same flaw.( when you make a phone call from the I phone you can not hear the I phone ringing , it just tries to connect the call. Mean while the phone you are calling rings but when you pick it up you hear nothing? Freezing on the last call made as well as no call log.)

We went to apple and they could not understand what was wrong with this I phone 4s that we bought through koodo so they replace it no question. Everything works fine.

Than a little more than a month later this newest phone starts with the same problems this time we did notice it was switching to another network (telus). We understand that koodo is a sister company or that was what we were told by one of many koodo agents.

Now we have been a week without a phone that we had paid for and have a bill at the end of the month for a service we are unable to use.
We had been told to change the sim card this we tried and still no change.

We were told that there was a ticket for review by a koodo tech but we have received no follow up, no message, nothing. This is unexceptable a week with out a cell phone that is well over $650. Koodo sold us our original I phone4s and profits by locking us in a service we cannot use and a phone we cannot go anywhere else.

We understand that there is a 14 day window that we had to get out of this relationship with koodo. As well as a $150 tab that is owing on the phone. Under the circumstance that the same problem we experienced with in the 14 day window continued today, we hope koodo would consider this.
All we want is to give back the phone and refund the money we paid for the phone .

koodo's service is bull**** same goes for there billing, each month i am being over charged and i barely use my minutes. i get charged $81.12 for having a for with them for less then a week and i returned the phone, $52.25 charge for a long distance call to asia while my phone was disactivated and a $30.15 charge for cancelling my plan with them. so much for the "no fee contract change" policy as they state.

I would say that the worst mobile operator in Montreal is DCITelecom, they cheat and overcharge for many different reasons, they also do not have any lidgid tech representatives
