Hi tom, it will use only the Internet service.

You would plug your phone into the magicJack, which plugs into your computer, which uses the Internet. While one aspect of that uses a phone plug, when you are using the magicJack you are not using the phone line at all.

I have ordered an american magicjack and i guess my question is how does it convert my internet service into a phone service. Two completly different services.
