1 and 2 are true.

#3 needs some refining. Receiving calls are free; people dialing your number are charged according to the normal local or long distance rate according to your number as if it were a normal land line. The biggest caveat here, though, is that magicJack does not offer Canadian numbers. There are some magicJack resellers who will also bundle you a Canadian number that will forward to your magicJack number, but then depending on the volume of calls you will be receiving, it might be better to go with another VoIP option like http://voip.ms.

I'm interested in buying a Magi Jack but I have a few questions to ask first:

I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. If I have a Magic Jack with an area code of
Montreal (514), am I right to assume that I can do the following calls free of charge? :

1) Make illimited free calls to any numbers in the US and Canada from my Magic Jack
2) Bring my Magic Jack to anywhere in the world and make unlimited free calls with it to any numbers in the US and Canada
3) Receive on my Magic Jack free calls from any numbers (landline and mobile phones) in the same area code (514)

Thank you in advance for answering me.
