You might be right -- I was experimenting with a lot of plug-ins, although I did try to deactivate anything that looked conflicting to something I was about to install.

I'll take a deep breath and try again in a day or two. Haven't got the stomach for it right now...

Thanks,
Randy

Sorry to hear about your continued troubles. My plugin acts on the login action, so the problem you're currently facing is probably due to a setting you'd modified elsewhere, especially if you manually removed the plugin files. Perhaps it is the "siteurl" or "home" setting in your wp_options table that is causing this redirect loop.

Well, I'm afraid it didn't quite work. When I plug in my URL, I get "http://www.gparkpets.info/login/?redirect_to=/login/?redirect_to=/login/?redirect_to=/login/?redirect_to=/..." ad nauseum in the address bar.

Don't know if and where the line of code would be to eliminate this. If I can't resolve it, it's not the huget deal -- I'm just in the process of setting up this website, no data was "live." So it wouldn't be that hard to just re-create it all. (Well, not all.)

The toughest part of this is finding plug-ins that do what I need to do. It's been a lot of trial-and-error. I've been having trouble finding the best tools to create a member directory, derived automatically from customized profile fields. Thought I'd mention it in case you (or anyone else) has a recommendation.

Thanks for your prompt response, BTW. Maybe we can even get it resolved.

Happy new year,
Randy

You should be able to delete the plugin folder and then also delete the wp_login_redirects MySQL table. Then you can re-upload and re-install the plugin.

You might have ended up in a redirect loop if your site has a redirect from, say, www to non-www and you set up the redirect rule to the wrong one of the two.

Just installed and activated the Login Redirect. In setting up, I was coming in and out of the options menu (as I was checking the URLs of the necessary pages). I seem to have left it, somehow, in such a state that I can't get to my site at all now. ("Problem loading page: Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.")

I can of course get to my SQL administration (it's hosted on 1&1), but I have to confess ignorance in manipulating anything at the SQL level. Just to get me back online, should I Empty, Drop, or do something else to the wp_login_redirects table?

Secondarily, assuming I'm able just to jettison the plug-in at this server level, any idea what I might have done to cause this to happen?

Thanks,
Randy
