First of all, Peter, Thank you SO much for the Family Feud files. I have been using these for the past few years at my church and they are incredibly helpful!

Let me begin my question with some information... I do not know Flash. In the past I have deconstructed an old version of the FF files and changed the graphics a bit to suit my needs. This year I am again needing to edit the "output" look. I want to: Change resolution to 1280x720. Change background graphic. Change answer graphic. Change Font. etc. I have done most of this with no problem. However:

-when I change the document size to 1280x720, the questions disappear from the output file. (rendering the document unusable since I can not click on a question to activate)
(FYI, in the files that I have "attached" I maneuvered this issue by changing the resolution to ~1367x768 as to not lose the height and thus lose the questions..but I do need it in 1280x720) How do I do this?

-How do I make the answer boxes, and thus the answers too, larger? (I don't mean just changing text size).
(In the "attached" files, Open the document "Family Feud - Game - EDITED.swf" ... you'll notice that the black box in the middle has a lot of margin space that I want to take advantage of to make the answers larger.)

How do I accomplish these things? Btw, I am MORE than willing to (if you're interested) supply the final project files as an additional Family Feud version for you to host.

Our event is Sunday October 19th. I would love to have this finished by the 15th of October so I have time to test.
Any help is MUCH appreciated. Thanks again for an amazing resource!

Thanks!!

Hi,

Just a quick note from me -- I don't have Flash anymore. Hopefully someone else can help!

Thanks for the response Peter.

Does anyone else have any ideas? I also need to prevent the "Double" and "Triple" point rounds from multiplying.

I'd appreciate any and all help. Thanks!

So I fixed it...

To remove the multiplier (double/triple rounds):
http://www.theblog.ca/peter-fo.....nd-triples

To shift the Questions up (so that they are within the 720px range):
-Go to "Edit Symbols" and select "question".
-highlight all the objects on the canvas
-shift up as desired.

To fix the size of the answer boxes:
-Go to "Edit Symbols" and select "answer".
-highlight all the objects on the canvas, and right click and choose "Free Transform"
-re-size as desired.

To fix the location issue:
-Go to the "ACTIONS" window
-then to Scene 1 > Actions:Frame 1 (this is where all the scripting is... that I can tell, I am a Flash newb)
LINES #192-195 are properties for the SECOND column of two column questions
-Go to Line #194 for the x value (horizontal) change the value to desired (default = 521)
-Go to Line #195 for the y value (vertical) change the value to desired (default = 225)

LINES #195-199 are properties for the FIRST column of two column questions
-Go to Line #197 for the x value (horizontal) change the value to desired (default = 160.9)
-Go to Line #198 for the x value (vertical) change the value to desired (default = 225)

LINES #200-202 are properties for the ONLY column of one column questions
-Go to Line #201 for the x value (horizontal) change the value to desired) (default = 340.9)
-Go to Line #202 for the x value (vertical) change the value to desired) (default = 225)

The "*60" represents the margins of said column

--------

I am going to edit the sound effects so that they are a bit better.
Our church also plays the fast money round a little different... the two team with the highest score use the Fast Money round as a bonus. Whatever team has the most points totaled (from regular rounds + Fast Money) wins. Therefore, I do not use the supplied Fast Money round files, and instead have made a PowerPoint document instead. You'll notice that all graphics (from both round-types) reflect the current 2014 design of the show.

Once I finish tweaking a few small details, I will update the zipped file attached above.

I hope these files will come in handy for other users.

THANKS

Sorry for the delay.

Here is a link to download a 1280x720 version of the game. The background has been changed to match the current (Steve Harvey) game board backdrop.

I believe this version also has the multiplier disabled...sorry, we didn't want it for our event. But The method to disable the multiplier is explained in fairly thorough detail above, so you should be able to use that to work backwards and re-enable it.

I will need to delete the file on this link within a week. Peter, is this something (if you're even interested) you can host?

Thank you guys for all your resources.

Thanks for sharing! It looks great. I've uploaded it here, so it can be the "permanent" storage of your edits:
