When you go and purchase the phone a credit check (like all other companies do) must be done...When the results come back (in less then 2 minutes) you will see if you are eligable for the TAB...if you are then you can put the Motorola W385 on your TAB and your phone will be free to walk away with! so you mean it is free free, or you pay over time kind of free?
this tab thing is freaking me out :)
When I went in to ask, I still did not understand the person working there. They checked my credit, said it was $0, then after I looked around the store and came back, they changed their answer and said, sorry now it says $150... what does all this mean? I know I have excellent credit, so what's up? plus, what does a tab mean anyway?
thanks for any explanation.

Basically this is how it works with the tab system.

Say, the phone costs $300 with a tab limit of up to $300. After a credit check, if you are eligible for the tab then the phone is reduced to $0. You walk out of that store with a free phone.

!!BUT HERE IS THE CATCH!!

Now you have a $300 tab that you must paid off.

Say you sign up for a talk and text monthly plan that costs $25/month. Every time you receive your bill, 10% of that $25 or $2.50/month would be added on to paid off your tab. And you take off $2.50 of the $300 tab.

Essentially, you would pay $27.50+taxes/month while at the same time reducing your $300 by $2.50/month until you paid off the tab or cancel it your plan and just paid what ever remains in your tab.

The TAB limit is only $150.
