Hey, I just found your forum and thought I'd share my experience. I got my son a Koodo account when he started school at UBC in Sept. At the time I set it up it was supposed to bill direclty to my CC account (which, based on the feedback here, I'm glad didn't happen). I got him this service because they had the cheapest international calling and I live in the states. Everything seemed to be going fine until he got an email saying that his account was overdue. This has started a process of me trying to pay my bill that stil hasn't ended. I have tried to make CC payments, they can't do that because my card wasn't approved (although I managed to set up my service with that card). I found out the approval went through today - almost 2 months later. I mailed one check from my US account, it just showed up on the account 7 weeks later. I also sent a check (overnight with signature required) on Nov 6th that was drawn on my father's Canadian bank account. I know they recieved it (I have the signature) but they say they won't know if they got it until it clears the bank (they have had it for almost 2 weeks!). According to the girl on the phone they don't keep any record of incoming payments so she won't even confirm that they recieved the check. I have tried talking to the billing department but they are never available. I must admit I have never had this much trouble giving someone money! They shut off the phone twice and made a big deal about not charging me a reconnection fee - its their mistake! I even had one person chide me for letting the account get overdue. Then he got all insulted when I got angry! I'm going to cancel this phone and get different service. Does anyone have a suggestion for a better carrier? Thanks in advance for any info.

Unfortunately Canada has horrible cell phone services. Koodo and 7-11 Speak-Out are actually 2 of the best. Yet, they are two of the worst in the world. We can't even have online numbers in Canada. I use Skype where WI-FI is available and Speak-Out for my emergency mobile phone.

So the next time you see a proud Canadian, remind them about Koodo and Canadian 3rd-world technology. I am very sorry you had that experience. I think I might move to Washington, or North Korea. :)

If you have set-up a e-bill on-line, you can actully send an e-mail to them, I have deal with them over the e-mail on-line and got pretty good feedback.

Try it, it doesn't hurt, I have some overdue before because I got into Identity fraud and change visa card #, I have change the visa card # on line but will will take forever like every business, so I call them, they have waives all penalty for me.

I don't know the amount of your penalty, if it is low amybe you can talk to them if it's work.
