First of all I love the idea of this plugin (visual and audio anti-spam), but for some reason the audio isn't working at my site.. I had to insert the complete path (open_basedir restriction) and now the image is displayed properly, but when I click it, I only get a blank page.. Tried to figure it out myself, but I can't seem to find what's wrong (did manually add slashes for the img-src and link-href and that's when the image did appear, but audio is, like i said, still not working).

Do you have any idea of what's going wrong? I also tried to change the chmod of the sounds-folder to 777, but that didn't do the trick either.

I installed this plug-in today and it seems to be working all right with no modification except for one thing: the generated mp3 file will not play in any media player on my system (Windows Media Player 10, iTunes, QuickTime, JetAudio, etc.).

I realize this is a different issue than that of the previous poster (illutic), but thought I'd add it here since it relates to the audio file function.

Any suggestions that might rectify my problem would be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys, both errors are rather odd... can you both give me some more information regarding your installations?

1) Which version of WordPress are you using?

2) What version of PHP are you using?

3) Are there any other plugins on your blogs that might deal with audio stuff?

4) What is your site address? (Even if the plugin is deactivated, I can still investigate somewhat my accessing its usual path).

Also, Brian, are you using Internet Explorer?

Hi guys, try overwriting mp3_class.php with the one in this zip file.

I was able to reproduce audio file problems in Internet Explorer and the attached file fixed them. Of course, I couldn't test all setups...

Peter - Thanks so much for your prompt attention to this and please forgive me for not responding here sooner, but I have been out of town until this morning.

I just uploaded the new mp3_class.php and the plug-in works great in both IE 6 and Firefox 1.0.7. Just as information, I'm running WordPress 2.0 with PHP 4.4.7.

Thanks again, Peter and congratulations on a really nice plug-in!

First of all: sorry for not responding (quite busy with my upcoming wedding, just 3 days left to be exact ;-) ) but thanks for looking into it.

Just updated the anti-spam version (on one of my websites, still have to update the others) and it works like a charm :-)

The newest install (with the new version of anti-spam) runs on WP 2.3, with PHP 5.2.3

Thanks for the great plugin!

Hi Peter,

Great plugin! I updated the new mp3_class.php file and have been receiving the following error message:

Fatal error: Class 'petermp3' not found in /home/myblogname/public_html/wp-content/plugins/custom-anti-spam/custom_anti_spam.php on line 209

Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

Adam

Hi, if you are using a version 2.9.3 and higher, the included mp3_class.php is correct. Therefore, there is no need to update any files -- you should simply upgrade the entire plugin if necessary :D
