The anti-spam word list does not exist. Make sure the "words" sub-directory is writable, then re-activate the plugin.
How do I go about this one, please . . . ?

The new version has two new folders: "translate" and "words". Make sure that you have extracted these folders from the zip file. Then, if necessary, put 777 permissions on the "words" folder, then re-activate the plugin.

I unzipped the folder but could not find a folder for "words". Is there a different version out with this?

That is odd. Please create a folder named "words" or download the plugin from one of the alternative download locations at http://www.theblog.ca/anti-spam
I will look into the distribution hosted on wordpress.org and fix it. Thanks for pointing that out.
