This release adds support for spaces and hyphens in the anti-spam words. Previously the audio generation code choked on spaces and hyphens. Now they are completely ignored for audio file generation and also when checking the anti-spam word.

For example, if they anti-spam word is "ski-do", the audio file will read only "skido". Also, if the visitor enters "skido", "ski-do", or "ski do", they are all accepted as valid entries (hey, we gotta make CAPTCHA as user-friendly as possible, right?).

Note that words with a leading space or hyphen are still not supported (and won't be unless someone comes up with a reason for them to be supported).

Download the release on the plugin page, as always:

Seems to be cracked by someone. I have it on my site but for one particular post, I keep getting spammed by a bot that inserts a link to livedoor.jp. The links added all include the string "index.php?plugin=attach/pcmd=open/file" something else in the URL so this is probably a virus.

I'm running WP 2.2.2 with your Anti-spam 2.9.8. Changed all the defaults captcas to non English words. Even when I disable comments on the post itself (right menu when I edit the post in the WP Admin control panel) for this post they are still able to post. Ideas?

Try disabling comments on the post itself (should be on the right menu when you edit the post). Other than that, I am stumped. Try changing the fonts in case they have cracked the CAPTCHA (or try using my random anti-spam or math anti-spam plugins or an entirely different plugin). Try updating your WordPress installation in case there's a WordPress flaw. Try using WordPress comment filters to filter out any comment with livedoor.jp in it or to filter out that spammer's IP address.

Okay, thanks much! I'll try those ideas.
